A Canadian maple tree which has been "tapped" in order to harvest maple syrup. The central (yellow) tubing runs between a series of maple trees, occasionally branching off and tapping at the best picks. It eventually reaches the "sugarhouse", where the fluids given off from the maple trees, sap, is boiled down to make maple syrup and then commercially sold (only after some maple syrup on the snow, of course!).

When introduced, this method quickly superseded older methods.
